The Church ALIVE is worth the Drive!

Welcome to Cordele First United Methodist Church!  Americus District of the South Georgia Annual Conference -

 Sowing the Word and
Growing a Christlike World!

 From the Senior Pastor
Welcome to the Cordele First United Methodist Church website.  We are glad to have the opportunity to tell you more about our church and invite you to browse the website.  Even more, we invite you to join us in worship, study, fellowship, prayer and service here at Cordele FUMC.

To our VISITORS:   Welcome!  We are honored to have you worship with us.  If you do not have a home church in Cordele we ask you to prayerfully consider making CFUMC your home church.  We welcome you with open arms!

CFUMC is a place that honors who you are and where you are on your faith journey.  You will notice everyone dresses differently - some up, and some down - it makes no difference to us.  Some of us aren't sure about how God fits in to our lives, whiles others are developing intimate relationships with God.  The important part is this is a place where you can find the space to let God meet you where you are.  Welcome home!

We are an intergenerational and multi-cultured church of over 1200 members, located in the heart of Cordele, GA, loving and serving God since 1887.

Pastor of Hispanic Ministry:  Felipe Ricardo

Felipe

The Hispanic Methodist Mission was established in Cordele in the year 2001 in order to meet the needs of the Hispanic population in the area.

This is an international congregation with brothers and sisters from Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Mexico, and Guatemala. Our mission is to share the good news of salvation and to meet the needs of the community. Our services are contemporary, joyful, and participatory. The musical instruments that we use as well as other displays are part of maintaining alive the different cultures represented.

On the first service, which was held on, October 2001, we had an attendance of twelve people, today, for the glory of God, we have an attendance between 95 and 105 people. There are several active ministries in our congregation which are: visitation, music, a tutoring program once a week, clothes and food give away, etc. There are several services that we have during the week like, a marriage ministry, after school program, Bible study, Sunday school, and Sunday worship service. A long all this years we have been blessed to work together with Cordele First United Methodist Church.
